Our client, a Banking Giant, is looking to recruit a permanent Senior Actuarial Analyst. This role will drive the delivery of small to medium strategic projects in the life insurance solutions team across all portfolios, in line with the company’s Client Value Proposition. Projects may include the delivery of new products, product enhancements, assistance with the launch of newer channels, pricing or competitor reviews, and other capabilities to assist the company’s insurance in growing its life licence solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Run small to medium sized strategic projects across all 3 life portfolios: Risk, Credit Life, and Investments.
- Initially a specialist role reporting to the Head of Life Solutions, with potential future management responsibilities.
- Assist the Head of Life Solutions with tasks spanning the 3 life portfolios.
- Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate results to wider business stakeholders for further action.
- Identify areas of improvement in processes and reporting within product teams.
- Contribute to Actuarial Committee and Board packs.
- Mentor and guide junior staff as an active member of the Actuarial team.
- Participate in culture building initiatives to achieve transformation goals.
- Stay updated in the field of expertise and identify training and development needs.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees.
- BSc (Actuarial Science) Hons.
Experience:
- 4+ years of Actuarial Experience (across Risk, Credit Life, or Investments).
- Minimum of 9 Actuarial exams passed (ASSA).
- Nearly qualified.
Technical / Professional Knowledge:
- Administrative procedures and systems.
- Banking knowledge.
- Business principles and terms.
- Data analysis.
- Governance, Risk, and Controls.
- Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of the company’s culture, vision, and strategy.
- Relevant software and systems knowledge.
